About Me

Hi, I'm Katie! Hypnobirthing Practitioner, Certified Life Coach and Mumma to 2 of my very own Hypnobabies. I am passionate about empowering women to trust in the strength they hold within to achieve the calm and positive births that they deserve.


I was first introduced to Hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first daughter. Like many women, one of my very early thoughts after finding out I was pregnant was 'oh my god, I am going to have to give birth!' My excitement and joy about pregnancy was instantly combined with a very real fear about the prospect of labour and birth. And why was that? Because throughout my whole life, almost every conversation or media representation of birth was portrayed to be drama-filled and painful.  As someone who has always been fascinated with the human body, I found it hard to comprehend how something so innate and natural, could be so traumatic. After a quick internet search for some more encouraging insights into childbirth, I stumbled across Hypnobirthing- and that's when my eyes were opened to the world of positive births!


After taking the Calm Birth's course myself, I went on to have 2 incredible natural births.  Hypnobirthing gave me the knowledge, tools and confidence to trust in my body and achieve 2 wonderfully calm and relaxed births, and ignited a passion in me to share its benefits with other women. I am passionate about sharing the incredible tools that hypnobirthing has to offer and empowering families to achieve the calm births that they deserve. And so, Mind body Mother was born...


Why Hypnobirthing?

Quite simply, Hypnobirthing is a set of skills for women & birth partners to use to feel confident, calm and in control of their birth. 

Hypnobirthing combines evidence based birth education with the use of various relaxation and visualisation techniques to help you approach and embrace every moment of labour and birth with confidence and calm.

The added bonus is that the skills learnt in hypnobirthing are not just exclusive to labour and birth!  The simple relaxation techniques combined with affirmations and visualisations can be transferred to all aspects of life, helping you to stay calm and in control.
